The Warner Brothers were Harry, Sam, Albert, and Jack Warner. They were the sons of Polish immigrants. Their father arrived in the United States in 1887. The rest of the immediate family, with the exception of four children who had died in Poland, did not arrive until 1895. The family settled in Youngstown, Ohio.

Albert Warner (born Abraham Wonsal) was one of the founders of Warner Bros. Studios. He established the production studio with his brothers Harry, Sam, and Jack Warner and served as the studio's treasurer, until he sold his stock in 1956. Before entering the film business, Warner tried his hand at several occupations.
