Alexei Nikolaevich, Tsarevich of Russia Alexei Nikolaevich (Russian: Алексе́й Никола́евич) (12 August [O.S. 30 July] 1904 – 17 July 1918) was the last Tsesarevich ( heir apparent to the throne of the Russian Empire ). [note 1] He was the youngest child and only son of Emperor Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra Feodorovna.
Alexei died at the age of thirteen at the hands of the Bolsheviks along with the rest of his family.
