Website. centralparkzoo .com. The Central Park Zoo is a 6.5-acre (2.6 ha) zoo located at the southeast corner of Central Park in New York City. It is part of an integrated system of four zoos and one aquarium managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS).

Find over 130 species at the Central Park Zoo, from giant grizzly bears to tiny leaf cutter ants. A walk around the Zoo's five plus acres will take you through a variety of habitats, all carefully designed to recreate the natural environment of the animals they house.

The zoo is open every day of the year and features three major biomes: the Tropic Zone, Temperate Territory, and the Polar Circle. From tropical birds, to snow leopards, grizzly bears, and one of the nation’s largest colonies of Antarctic penguins, there are animals to enjoy in every season.

Find locations near you. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing. One of its most prominent features is the sea lion pool and tank, located in the center courtyard, which is visible from outside of the Zoo. Other exhibits feature snow leopards, grizzly bears, penguins, and more.
