Crown Prince's Palace (Kronprinzenpalais) next to the Staatsoper, located along Unter den Linden boulevard overlooking Bebelplatz and the adjacent Princesses' Palace (Prinzessinnenpalais) are impressive town palaces, the former residences of Hohenzollern royal family members.

The Kronprinzenpalais (Crown Prince Palace) close to the Spree on the fine boulevard Unter den Linden has seen the most varied history. In its present form it is a reconstruction of 1968-69 after it had burned down in the war and been cleared away later.

Editor's review. Originally completed in 1663 the Kronprinzenpalais, or Crown Prince's Palace, has seen its fair share of history. Having stood in all its baroque glory for two centuries the Palace was rebuilt in the 19th century by King Fredrich Wilhelm in order to house his newborn son Prince Wilhelm II.

The Kronprinzenpalais is a former Royal Prussian residence on Unter den Linden boulevard in the historic centre of Berlin.
