Kykuit (pronounced KAI-CUT) is a former Rockefeller estate in Sleepy Hollow, Westchester County of New York. Three generations of Rockefellers lived here from the founder of Standard Oil (John D. Rockefeller) to Nelson Rockefeller, 3 term governor of New York and former vice president under President Ford.

Rockefeller Estate, is a 40-room historic house museum in Pocantico Hills, a hamlet in the town of Mount Pleasant, New York 25 miles north of New York City. The house was built for oil tycoon and Rockefeller family patriarch John D. Rockefeller.

Kykuit. Built between 1906 and 1913, Kykuit was the hilltop home to four generations of the Rockefeller family. The mansion is an historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, operated and maintained by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund as a center for its philanthropic programs.

Kykuit (derived from the Dutch word for look-out) is set high above the Hudson with dramatic views of the river and Palisades. It has been home to four generations of the Rockefeller family. Kykuit was first designed in 1908 by William A. Delano (1874-1960) and Chester H. Aldrich (1871-1940).
