The Edward R. Ladd Arboretum is an arboretum located at 2024 McCormick Boulevard, Evanston, Illinois, occupying 23 acres (93,000 m²) in a narrow three-quarter mile (1.2 km) stretch between McCormick Boulevard and the North Shore Channel on land leased from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.

The Edward R. Ladd Arboretum is a three-quarter mile strip along 23 acres of reclaimed land between McCormick Blvd and the North Shore Channel. Self-guided tours take visitors through the Aspegren Meadow; Oak Grove; Maple Knoll; Pine Knoll; legume trees; birches; and nut trees.

Ladd is my fave running spot in Evanston. Beautiful scenery, quiet, clean, visible mile markers...everything I ask for in a trail. There is free parking in a lot located at the corner of McCormick & Bridge St. Don't forget to check out the Evanston Ecology Center, located inside Ladd Arboretum.
