Fishing is available year round at Lake Fairfax Park. The lake is very accessible for shoreline fishermen and has catfish, bass, sunfish, black crappie, bullhead, and bluegill. All anglers must follow all Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources rules and regulations. More information about fishing at Lake Fairfax is on the DWR website. Lake Fairfax is open to fishing from kayaks.

Lake Fairfax park is a great recreation spot. There are fishing, camping, soccer fields and a cricket field, but to me the best part is the extensive web of trails through the forests. Mostly wild and not always well marked, it is a nice place for a couple of hours of adventure.
