Nominal fees are charged for the Water Mine, carousel and camping. Swimming is prohibited in the lake.
Lake Fairfax park is a great recreation spot. There are fishing, camping, soccer fields and a cricket field, but to me the best part is the extensive web of trails through the forests. Mostly wild and not always well marked, it is a nice place for a couple of hours of adventure.

12/3/2022. 1 photo. This is a nice outdoor park to visit (and also camp at) in Reston. There are various fields for sports, picnic areas, as well as areas that seemed were designated for RVs to camp at. The grounds have heated big bathroom buildings which was a big plus when visiting in the freezing cold.
