Eligibility. You are eligible to apply for the United States Naval Academy if you meet the following criteria: A United States Citizen by 1 July of the year of entry. At least 17 years of age and must not have passed 23rd birthday on 1 July of the year of entry. Unmarried. Not pregnant and no dependents.
Applying to enter the Naval Academy is different than most other college admissions processes. In addition to reviewing your academic record, our Admissions Board evaluates your physical fitness, leadership potential and motivation to be a midshipman and an officer in the Navy or Marine Corps.
