The Yale School of Music welcomes applications from those who have earned a master of music degree in either solo or collaborative piano within the past five years. Individuals enrolled in a degree program for the upcoming academic year are ineligible.
Applicants to the Yale School of Music’s choral conducting, early music voice, and organ programs must also submit an application through the Institute of Sacred Music (more information below under Program-Specific Requirements). There is no additional application fee for the Institute of Sacred Music application.

All courses in the School of Music and Yale University are open to A.D. candidates with permission of the instructor. Students accepted must be exclusively enrolled in the School of Music. Degree requirements: Students who hold another School of Music degree are expected to complete the A.D. program in one year.
