Yuen Kwok-yung GBS JP ( Chinese: 袁國勇; born 30 December 1956) is a Hong Kong microbiologist, physician and surgeon. He is a prolific researcher, with most of his nearly 800 papers (as of December 2020) related to research on novel microbes or emerging infectious diseases.

Co-Director, State Key Laboratory of Emerging Infectious Diseases Prof Kwok-Yung Yuen, who graduated from The University of Hong Kong in 1981 and heads the Department of Microbiology from 2002 to 2011, has the rare distinction of being a microbiologist, surgeon and physician.
