Yuen Kwok-yung GBS JP (Chinese: 袁國勇; born 30 December 1956) is a Hong Kong microbiologist, physician and surgeon. He is a prolific researcher, with most of his nearly 800 papers (as of December 2020) related to research on novel microbes or emerging infectious diseases.
Yuen Kwok-yung, is currently the Chair of Infectious Diseases of the Department of Microbiology of the University of Hong Kong. He is also the co-director of the state key laboratory of emerging infectious disease of China in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the founding co-director of the Hong Kong University-Pasteur Research Centre.
