Zhejiang University is a national public research university in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. It is a member of the C9 League, Double First Class University Plan, Project 985, and Project 211 . Founded as Qiushi Academy in 1897, it is the oldest university in Zhejiang and one of the oldest in China.
