James and Betty Robison – Over 50 Years of ministry James Robison is the founder and president of LIFE Outreach International and the founder and publisher of The Stream. Since 1968, James has presented the Gospel on television. He launched the daily television program LIFE Today with his wife, Betty, in 1995.
In the 1970s, he was a fiery Southern Baptist evangelist, preaching boldly against the theological liberalism that had permeated his denomination and urgently needed to be rooted out. But during a spiritual crisis in 1982, and at the urging of his wife, he allowed a charismatic preacher named Milton Green to minister to him.

 Robison eventually met his wife, Betty Freeman, while a student at Pasadena High School, and they wed on February 23, 1963, when both were 19. Two years later, in 1965, the couple graduated with honors from Middle Tennessee State University.
