A biography of the fourth son of German Emperor Wilhelm II and his first wife, Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein. He was a vocal supporter of Nazism and of Adolf Hitler, and a member of the NSDAP from 1930 to 1933. He was involved in the Prussian State Council and the Landtag of Prussia, and had a reclusive life in Potsdam until his death in 1949.

Prince Augustus William of Prussia ( German: August Wilhelm; 9 August 1722 – 12 June 1758) was the son of King Frederick William I of Prussia and a younger brother and general of Frederick the Great . Augustus was the second surviving son of Frederick William I and Sophia Dorothea.
Prince Frederick William Henry Augustus of Prussia ( German: Friedrich Wilhelm Heinrich August; 19 September 1779 – 19 July 1843) was a Prussian royal and general.
Wilhelm II, German Emperor issued his statement of abdication on 28 November 1918, from both the Kingdom of Prussia, and imperial thrones, thus formally ending the House of Hohenzollern 's 400-year rule over Prussia. He also gave up his, and future succession rights to the throne of Prussia and to the German Imperial throne connected therewith. 
Prince August Wilhelm was the eldest son of the last Kaiser, Wilhelm II, and his consort Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein. He was the last Crown Prince of the German Empire and the Kingdom of Prussia, until the abolition of the monarchy in 1918. He commanded the 5th Army in World War I and supported Adolf Hitler's rise to power, but later opposed him. He became the head of the House of Hohenzollern on 4 June 1941 and died on 20 July 1951.

Augustus William (German: August Wilhelm; 9 August 1722, Berlin – 12 June 1758, Oranienburg), Prince of Prussia, was the second son of King Frederick William I of Prussia and Sophia Dorothea of Hanover. He was a younger brother of Wilhelmine of Bayreuth, Frederick II of Prussia and Louisa Ulrika of Prussia.
