Lebanon Township is a township located at the northernmost point of Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 6,588, 2000 Census 1990 Census. Lebanon Township is the extreme northern township of Hunterdon County. It borders both Warren and Morris Counties. When Lebanon Township was created in 1731, its original borders extended from the Musconetcong River to Readington Township.

Lebanon Township occupies the northwest corner of Clinton County and is bordered by Ionia County to the west and Gratiot County to the north. North Lebanon Township is located in the central section of Lebanon County. The Native Americans, known as the Leni Lenape, or Delawares, actually held title to all the land within the limits of Lebanon County until 1732. A number of the names are still recognizable in our township.
