The Blue Ridge Parkway is 469 miles long and runs through 29 counties in North Carolina and Virginia. No fee is charged to travel the Blue Ridge Parkway. However, the Blue Ridge Parkway does distribute National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Passes. Passes may be purchased online or in person at Blue Ridge Parkway campgrounds during their operating season, which generally lasts from Memorial Day through October 31st.
