David is blind, and his comedy often explores how his disability means the most ordinary, commonplace events are turned into surreal and convoluted dramas.
Founded in 1929 by the writer JB Priestley and his sister Winifred, the Bradford Playhouse Company later moved to Jowett Hall, an 1837 Temperance Hall converted to a cinema in 1910. Jowett Hall was destroyed by fire in 1935. A new theatre was built on the current site in Chapel Street, Little Germany in 1937.

We put on a Pantomime every February at the Bradford Playhouse. We also stage one or two smaller productions throughout the year including one/two act plays and music based productions. All the members give their time freely to meet the society's main objective, which is to raise money for charity.
