Ambiance: Brooklyn Heights Promenade is a walking trail and path that runs above Brooklyn Bridge Park along the East River. It is not particularly long, but it has tons of seats for people to sit and look out over the water at lower Manhattan.
The Brooklyn Heights Association opposed the plan and won. The 1,826 foot long Brooklyn Heights Promenade was built over the two-tiered highway, above the waterfront. The Promenade opened to the public in October 1950.

Brooklyn Heights Promenade. While Brooklyn Bridge Park is a beautiful walkway along the waterfront, the Brooklyn Heights Promenade is an elevated walkway overlooking the waterfront.
