The Brooklyn Museum currently has an excellent Andy Warhol exhibition inside its compact mostly American art museum. The Warhol exhibition covers his entire life (beyond just the iconic soup cans & Marilyn Monroe pop posters), with an emphasis on his religious themed works. An interesting way to look at this modern artist.
With just over 1.5 million works of art and hundreds of thousands of square feet, The Brooklyn Museum is the third largest museum in all of New York City, making it a highly sought-after tourist attraction and one of the best museums in Brooklyn and best museums in NYC to visit.
From Manhattan: Brooklyn Bridge; continue straight from the bridge about a half mile; left onto Atlantic Avenue for about 1.5 miles; right onto Washington Avenue for about a half mile to Eastern Parkway. The Museum is at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Washington Avenue.
