The Corn Exchange National Bank was founded in 1858 by grain merchants in Philadelphia. The bank expanded most under Charles S. Calwell, President from 1910 until his death in 1932. In March 1928 Corn Exchange transferred $100,000 to Bankers Trust , specifically for Bankers Trust to deposit those funds with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
