Daunte Rachard Culpepper (born January 28, 1977) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons, primarily with the Minnesota Vikings. He played college football at UCF and was selected by the Vikings in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft .
Daunte Culpepper grew up in Ocala, Florida, and attended Vanguard High School before taking his talents to Central Florida. While at UCF, Culpepper threw 72 touchdowns across three seasons as the starting quarterback. His play in college saw him get drafted as a first-round pick in the 1999 NFL Draft when the Vikings selected him 11th overall.
