Embraer S.A. ( Portuguese pronunciation: [ẽbɾaˈɛɾ]) is a Brazilian multinational aerospace manufacturer that produces commercial, military, executive and agricultural aircraft,  and provides aeronautical services. It was founded in 1969 in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, where its headquarters are located.

The incident involved an Embraer 170 aircraft, a medium-range jet that can hold about 70 passengers, which had flown from Dallas Fort-Worth to the Montgomery Regional Airport.
Embraer said the company was manufacturing “false claims” to avoid paying the $4.2 billion because of its “own financial condition and 737 Max and other business and reputational problems.”.
