Fandom is the world’s largest entertainment & gaming fan platform. We help 350 million people worldwide go deeper on their favorite games, entertainment and culture with unique tools, memorable experiences, original content and commerce. We reach more fans, across more fandoms, than anyone. And we do it all for the love of fans.
Over 15 years later, Fandom encompasses over 40 million content pages in over 80 languages on 250,000 wikis about every fictional universe ever created. Fandom is where fans find themselves through entertainment. We provide a judgement-free zone where people can discover new favorites, go as deep as they want to and engage with other fans.
In 2016, Wikia launched Fandom, an online entertainment media website. The program utilizes volunteer contributors called "Fandom Contributors" to produce articles, working alongside an editorial team employed by Wikia. In contrast to the blogging feature of individual wiki communities, Fandom focuses on pop culture and fan topics such as video games, movies, and television shows.

Fandom is an organization for making websites that are wikis. Wikia was started in 2004 by Jimmy Wales, who also started Wikipedia, and Angela Beesley. The name of Wikicities was changed to Wikia on March 27, 2006 to prevent other people from mistaking it for a wiki on cities, and then renamed again on October 4th, 2016 to Fandom for an unknown reason.
