Frederick V, (born March 31, 1723, Copenhagen—died Jan. 14, 1766, Copenhagen), king of Denmark and Norway (1746–66) from the death of his father, Christian VI.

Frederik V was the King of Denmark-Norway from 1746; son of Christian VI and Sophie Magdalene of Brandenburg-Kulmbach. In 1743 he was married to Louise of Great Britain, and the year after her death in 1751 to Juliane Marie of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. With Louise he had several children, including Christian (VII).

Frederick V ( Danish and Norwegian: Frederik V; 31 March 1723 – 14 January 1766) was King of Denmark and Norway and Duke of Schleswig-Holstein from 6 August 1746 until his death in 1766. He was the son of Christian VI of Denmark and Sophie Magdalene of Brandenburg-Kulmbach.
