The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is a free-standing aquarium in Cleveland, Ohio, occupying the historic FirstEnergy Powerhouse building on the west bank of the Cuyahoga River. It features 55 exhibits over 9 thematic concentrations representing both local and exotic species of fish, including a 230,000-US-gallon shark tunnel. It opened in 2012 and is the only independent aquarium in the state of Ohio.
