Jan 2020 • Solo. The Griffith Park is a hiking area on Mount Hollywood where the Griffith Observatory and Hollywood Sign sits. Many visitors and locals go for hike there and stay till evening to watch the LA city lights as the sun sets. Very nice view from here.

Originally a part of the Spanish land grant, Rancho Los Feliz, the park was named for its former owner, “Colonel” Griffith J. Griffith, a Welsh industrialist and philanthropist.
Parking is enforced every day of the year, Monday-Friday 12pm—10pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am—10pm. Parking fees increase over peak season/holidays. If there is no show at The Greek Theatre you may park for free in that parking lot and ride the DASH Observatory up the hill for .50. You will be dropped right at the front entrance of the building.
