The Lan Su Chinese Garden supports a collection of Chinese plants — more than 500 species in just 20 percent of the Garden's total area. While over 90 percent of the Garden's plants are native to China, most of the horticultural specimens were acquired in the Pacific Northwest.
The Lan Su Chinese Garden occupies an entire city block in downtown Portland, at 239 Northwest Everett Street (check hours & admission ). This stunning garden opened in September 2000, after 70 workers from the historic Chinese city of Suzhou spent a year in Portland creating it.
