Mark Allen Brunell was born in Los Angeles, CA on September 17, 1970. He has a younger brother, Matt. Mark inherited his athletic genes from his father, Dave. The latter was a standout pitcher for Bell High School in 1969. He had an outstanding 1.01 ERA and a 12-3 record that year.
