Mark Allen Brunell (born September 17, 1970) is an American football coach and former quarterback who is the quarterbacks coach for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He played in the NFL for nineteen seasons and is best known for his nine seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars , whom he led to the franchise's first playoff appearances between 1996 and 1999.

Mark Brunell joined the Lions to serve as the team's quarterbacks coach in 2021. Since he concluded his playing career in 2011, he has served as the high school head coach and program director at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville (2013-20), mentor at the NFL Combine, Team Relations Director of the NFL Legends Community and sports analyst on WJXT in Jacksonville, Fla.
Though he never earned an All-Pro nod, Mark Brunell made quite a bit of money in his 18-year NFL career. His rookie contract totaled just $313,625, but he received a significant pay bump when he joined the Jaguars. Brunell cashed in on his ascending status in 1997 by signing a four-year, $30.5 million deal with $10 million guaranteed.
