Michael Anthony Munchak (born March 5, 1960) is an American professional football coach and former player. A graduate of Penn State, Munchak played left guard for the Houston Oilers from 1982 until 1993 and was a nine-time selection to the Pro Bowl. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001.
Munchak had interviewed for the head coaching vacancy with the Denver Broncos, but when Vic Fangio was the team’s selection, Munchak chose a lateral move to the Broncos to be closer to his family.
Before his time in Denver, Munchak serves as O-line coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2014-18 and with Tennessee from 1997-2010. He was Titans head coach, compiling a 22-26 record, from 2011-13.
