Welcome to OpenStreetMap! OpenStreetMap is a map of the world, created by people like you and free to use under an open license. Hosting is supported by UCL , Fastly , Bytemark Hosting , and other partners .
OpenStreetMap (OSM) is a collaborative project to create a free editable geographic database of the world. The geodata underlying the maps is considered the primary output of the project. The creation and growth of OSM has been motivated by restrictions on use or availability of map data across much of the world, and the advent of inexpensive portable satellite navigation devices .
OpenStreetMap's community is diverse, passionate, and growing every day. Our contributors include enthusiast mappers, GIS professionals, engineers running the OSM servers, humanitarians mapping disaster-affected areas, and many more. To learn more about the community, see the OpenStreetMap Blog , user diaries , community blogs, and the OSM Foundation website.
OpenStreetMap US We help grow OpenStreetMap , the free and editable map of the world, in the United States. Over 1 million mappers work together to collect and contribute data to OpenStreetMap, many of them in the United States.
Welcome to OpenStreetMap, the project that creates and distributes free geographic data for the world. We started it because most maps you think of as free actually have legal or technical restrictions on their use, holding back people from using them in creative, productive, or unexpected ways.
OpenStreetMap (OSM) is an open collaborative project to create a free editable map of the world. Volunteers gather location data using GPS, local knowledge, and other free sources of information such as free satellite imagery, and upload it.

OpenStreetmap is made by thousands of volunteers. The more we are, the best the map will be, and all of us will benefit of it. There are two ways you can collaborate: If you have a GPS you can log all your tracks and upload your data to OpenStreetMap. Here you have information to get started. You can also collaborate fixing the errors you detect in the maps, adding missing information to the existing data, etc.
About OsmAPP. This application should offer a convenient interface for everyday use of OpenStreetMap including editing options. Currently it includes various map layers, POI editing and a basic search engine. Features such as navigation or favorite places are planned. You may suggest new features on Github.
GEOINT Services provides Open Street Map (OSM) basemaps through XYZ and WMTS Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). These basemaps are available in 3 styles and both Web Mercator (EPSG:3857) and Plate Carrée (EPSG:4326) projections. The geospatial data used to generate these basemaps is kept up-to-date with the latest OpenStreetMap.org updates.
