Built in 1957, Historic RCA Studio B operated for 20 years as the recording home of many famous artists in pop, rock, R&B and country music. Thousands of sessions were recorded within its walls, including more than 240 songs by Country Music Hall of Fame member Elvis Presley.
But none are as enduring or iconic as RCA Studio B at the corner of 17 th Avenue South and Roy Acuff Place. The studio where more than 1,000 top 10 hits, including more than 150 Elvis Presley recordings, were recorded, became famous in the late ’50’s and early ‘60s for its role in the development of what became known as the “Nashville Sound.”

RCA Studio B is located at 1611 Roy Acuff Place, Nashville, Tennessee 37203. But you do need to purchase tickets at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. They are sold in a bundle in order to do the tour. Tickets are limited for each tour so be sure to time your visits accordingly.

RCA Studio B closed its doors on Aug. 17, 1977. It was donated to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in 1992. These days, the studio hosts a variety of school groups and educational programs.
