The park was packed with people! You better get there early! We ended up eating our lunch in the parking lot of the Trading Post. The bathrooms by the Trading Post are very large and kept clean. There are lots of scenic views of the mountain and overlooking the lake. I would definitely visit Red Top Mountain State Park again

While best known for the 12,000-acre lake, Red Top Mountain is also a hiker’s haven. More than 15 miles of trails wind through the forested park, providing opportunities for exercise and nature photography.

0.75 mile loop | Rated easy. This short paved trail starts at the Park Office parking lot and makes a loop around on the shore of Lake Allatoona. It is ADA accessible trail for the entire length. A focal point is the 1869 Vaughan cabin located right along the trail.
