Richard Vershaun Seymour (born October 6, 1979) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL), primarily with the New England Patriots. He played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs, and was drafted by the Patriots sixth overall in the 2001 NFL Draft.
