Robert Sargent Shriver III (born April 28, 1954) is an American activist, attorney, and journalist. He was a member of the Santa Monica City Council from 2004 to 2012, serving as mayor pro tem in 2006 and as mayor during part of 2010.

First known as the Montgomery Aquatic Center when it opened in 1989, the facility was dedicated on October 23, 2011 as the Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center.
