The Seattle Aquarium has been working to reduce sources of plastic pollution in the environment—in 2020 we helped pass the Reusable Bag Bill to eliminate thin, single-use plastic bags in Washington state and in 2021 we worked with our partners to ban certain expanded polystyrene foam products like recreational coolers and packing peanuts.
Hours: The Seattle Aquarium is open daily, 9:30am–6pm. Last entry at 5pm; exhibits close at 6pm. Weather: The Aquarium has many spaces with open airflow. Your visit will include both indoor and outdoor spaces. Please dress for the weather or bring layers to maintain your comfort as you explore.

The aquarium is small and seems a bit outdated. The facility is built on a pier, so they are limited in their space. Most of the facility is focused on local aquaculture with several touch ponds, lots of fish tanks, and an outdoor facility with some sea otters and others.
