Washington Park is the crown jewel of Portland. This 410-acre park is home to the Oregon Zoo, World Forestry Center, Hoyt Arboretum, International Rose Test Garden, and the Portland Japanese Garden,. Washington Park brings in 3.5 million visitors annually.
Park hours. 5 a.m. – 10 p.m. Fees. The Park is free to enter. There is a $2/hour fee to park. There is an admission fee for the Portland Japanese Garden, World Forestry Center Discovery Museum, and Oregon Zoo. Location. Located two miles west of downtown Portland, Oregon. This is a sprawling park built into the hills on the northwest edge of Portland. It is easily accessed from downtown or via I-5. In addition to the attractions noted above, the park also has a Japanese Garden (which had a long line and an entrance fee of around $15 per person) as well as the Portland area zoo.
