Wilhelm II ; Prince Frederick William Victor Albert of Prussia (January 27, 1859 – June 4, 1941) was the third and last German Emperor and the ninth and last King of Prussia (German: Deutscher Kaiser und König von Preußen ), ruling both the German Empire and the Kingdom of Prussia from June 15, 1888 to November 9, 1918.

Wilhelm II, German Emperor (1859-1941) acceded to the Prusso-German throne on 15 June 1888. He established a system of personal monarchy in which he, his courtiers and military entourage determined policy and he alone held responsibility for the appointment and dismissal of civilian statesmen. [1]

Born in Germany, as the son of the Crown Prince of Prussia and the daughter of Queen Victoria of Great Britain, Wilhelm served as the Emperor of Germany from 1888 to 1918, until the end of World War I.
