Due to high demands there have been issues seeing and sending encrypted emails utilizing Outlook this way. If possible please try and use VPN to send and receive any encrypted emails.
365 encryption 100% works FS to FS. Issue comes from FS to legacy accounts. Once email migration is finished S/MIME will be out 365 encryption will be in. Legacy S/MIME to FS using Outlook 2016 on NMCI works as well. I confirmed this with the CIO as intentional.
To access Army 365 Webmail, follow these steps: Connect your CAC reader with CAC inserted to your computer. (Computer will recognize with an audible ding and icon in the task bar). Open a fresh web browser (Microsoft Edge or Chrome; Firefox only if configured with ActivClient) and go to Army Career Tracker (ACT). Select SIGN IN WITH CAC/PIV.
A note for army personnel: If your email address used to end with @mail.mil, you will need to replace "mail.mil" with "army.mil" to log in. Enter your email address and select Sign in with CAC/PIV.
