Replace the AT&T number you have now with one you're transferring from another carrier. If you're replacing your AT&T number with one from another carrier, follow these steps: Go to your my AT&T account overview. Scroll to My devices. Find the device you want to transfer a number to and select Manage device.
In the My AT&T wireless number section, select Add, Edit, or Remove. Save your changes. If assigning or changing a wireless number, enter the verification code sent to the wireless number. Heads up: You can only assign your wireless number to 1 user ID.
If you have more than one account, select the wireless account from the drop-down at the top; In the wireless passcode section, select Change passcode. Enter and save your passcode information.
