Canvas is a web-based application which allows instructors to put class materials on the Internet. It provides a variety of tools to facilitate teaching and learning. The basic tools used in a Canvas course include a syllabus, learning materials (documents, videos, etc.), discussions, calendar, email, announcements, grades, exams, and assignments.
Enrolled PCE or Continuum college students have access to Canvas. These who enroll in a program and then register for courses on the same day might experience an overnight delay in getting access to Canvas. Canvas simplifies course management tasks: publishing course materials, grading, communicating with students, and more. Students can use Canvas to access course content, submit assignments anytime, anywhere and collaborate with peers and instructors. Canvas is FERPA-compliant and has no service fee for eligible users. Providing Access The roles shown above can invite other users to Open Canvas via the Services Hub Admin Center. Choose the “Customer Management” tab. Type in the email address of a current/active Services Hub user, choose the appropriate access, and click “Add User”. Note No notification is sent to added users.
Students use Canvas to access course materials and complete assignments. Canvas is where you will access all the materials related to your enrolled courses. Support for Canvas is available from Information Technology Services. Login to Canvas
