If you can't sign in to your Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, or MSN email account, or you're not sure how to sign in or sign out, here are some solutions. Sign in to Hotmail or Outlook.com To sign in to Outlook.com or Hotmail, you'll need your Microsoft Account username and password.

Try sending email via the web: Many email providers let you access your email via a website. Sign in to your email account via the website and confirm that you can send and receive email there. If you can't, there might be an issue with your email server. Contact your email provider for support.
If you see Disconnected, Working Offline, or Trying to connect…, Outlook can't reach the email server to send your mail. Choose Send/Receive > Preferences > Work Offline to toggle between offline mode and online mode. You may need to open the message and send it again, or choose Send/Receive.
Check the Junk Email folder. Sometimes messages are mistakenly marked as junk by other email apps. Check your Junk Email folder and see if the message is there. If the message has been moved incorrectly to this folder, select the message and then select Not junk > Not junk.
