From your GMail account page, open all apps (the dots) and select Account. Then select Security. In the Signing in to Google box turn on 2-Step Verification. Just below that click on App Passwords. Select the kind of account and kind of computer and then generate the password. Copy the password (Ctrl-C) Try to do a Send/Receive in Outlook.
Step 1: On the sign-in page of Gmail, click on "Can't access your account?". Step 2: Key in the email address and then click on "I don't know my password" and then on "Continue". Step 3: Once the target user's name is confirmed, click on "Yes, continue".
