NHSmail is the national secure collaboration service for health and social care in England. NHSmail Partners NHSmail is delivered in partnership between NHS Digital and Accenture.
MFA helps protect users by making it harder for someone else to sign in to your NHSmail account. NHSmail plans to enable additional MFA options from July 2023 onwards for user accounts in scope (including newly created user accounts and access outside of UK). We expect the platform to have fully adopted MFA by 29 March 2024.

Step 1. Login with your NHSmail account credentials, using your nhs.net username and password. Step 2. Choose NHS Care Identity from the list and provide your credentials. Step 3. Review your accounts details and confirm you would like to link these accounts to complete the process.
NHSmail is an email, diary and directory system for National Health Service (NHS) employees in England and Scotland. The system is not for patients of the NHS. Retired NHS staff do not have access. NHSmail previously allowed faxes to be sent, however this was phased out at the end of March 2015.
