Whatever your reasoning, don't even try to find a "Change Password" option in AIM Mail and AOL Mail. There just isn't one. Of course, that doesn't mean you can't change your password or anything like that. Instead, you need to go back to your so-called screen name. All AOL Mail and AIM Mail accounts are provided with screen names.

I’ve had the same problem, suddenly, this morning and have given up trying to re-enter my password continuously. I gather aol isn’t compatible with the updated mail app on the iPhone. Have downloaded the aol app now but it’s highly irritating as full of adverts! Will have to wind down my use of that old email methinks.
