To sign in to Outlook.com or Hotmail, you'll need your Microsoft Account username and password. Sign-in Note: Check the Don't show this again box if you want to go straight to Outlook.com next time (not recommended for shared computers).
The incoming and outgoing email servers should be entered with the POP/IMAP port after the server name. For example "example.server.com:465." Be sure that the authentication and SSL settings match the requirements for your email providers servers.
Folders are available in the Folder Pane. Some folders are pre-populated, or you can create new ones. Inbox is located in the Message List. Emails open in the Reading Pane. The ribbon gives you more options to organize emails. Select the arrow on the far right to expand or collapse the ribbon.
Go to Start and open Mail. Under the Account menu on the left, select your account. If your Junk Email folder isn't listed under Folders, select More. If you locate the missing message in your Junk Email folder, right-click the message and select Move to Inbox.
To find the email address you picked when you created the Gmail account: Click your picture or avatar near Gmail's top right corner. View your primary Gmail email address listed under your name. If you have connected Gmail accounts, the current account is listed on top.
Locate the Junk Email folder in the Navigation pane: The Junk Email (or spam) folder is another place to look for missing Outlook messages. Click on the Junk Email folder to open it: When looking for Outlook lost emails, don't forget to check the Junk Email (spam) folder.
Tap Next and wait for Mail to verify your account. Choose information from your mail account, like Contacts or Calendars, that you want to see on your device. Tap Save. You can also choose from a number of third-party email apps that are available in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Outlook stores your messages in the Sent Items folder. If you don't see the Sent Items folder, you may need to change your Outlook settings. You can find your Sent Items folder in your folder list. If you have multiple email accounts in Outlook, each email account has its own Sent Items folder. Click Sent Items in the folder list.
Created on April 26, 2013. My e-mail icon has disappeared. How can I retrieve it please? Having failed to access a website I was invited to 'refresh' the computer. This took about 5 minutes and when it had finished I discovered that several applications had been removed and the e-mail icon had disappeared.
